The Atlantis

Client: Atlantis Group
Project Details: Vadodara, 2015
Area: 200 Acres
Programme: Township
Status:On-going

In order to break the customary design flow, this project was started in a pretty new ways of design concepts. With the scheme consisting of 300 units each being 3BHK. A large site in terms of area and programme, gave a challenge in itself for us to design and resolve the issues faced in having the project built. Many purposes like golf course, weekend villas, 3 BHK houses, school and commercial blocks is what this huge site is made for. However, we bagged the scope of designing entry gate, cluster of 3 BHK houses and a bunch of weekend villas.

To create a welcoming aura, we decided upon designing the entry gate detailed in metal, is a grand piece of architecture while the overall site has landscape infused with playful walls made of stone and brick of varying proportions. A huge water body is planned in the centre to give an elemental beauty to the site defining the entry and exit, which also functions as a part of landscape design.

The 3BHK cluster is aimed around an axial design with green patches giving a solid void effect. The puzzling aspect of this duplex is that, the client wanted a common wall yet giving a look of the bungalow. This resulted into a common wall in the rare side and a garden in the front to break the monotony of stereotype duplexes. An infrequent sloping roof and exposed brick makes the outer body look curious.

The weekend villas here out as, roof villa is because of its sporadic sloping roof. A plan spreading only on the ground floor has a seeping into the built form of landscape. This creates an inquisitive elevation as only thing that sees is the Mangalore tiled roof and the landscape. The punchers finished in glass let in most of the natural light.

Proving to be sustainable and climatically acceptable, the designs stand in keeping the areas comfortable in all seasons. Quite elevating our standard, this project is one of the schemes we look forward to having completed.
